Synopsis

It's wintertime in the Hamptons. Scott and his wife Elise have come to stay at her dying father's estate on Shinnecock Bay, waiting for the inevitable. As weeks grind into months, their marriage buckles under the weight of resentment, boredom, and too much of Victor's booze. Then Scott notices something he can't let go of: every night at precisely eleven, the lights in the neighbor's bedroom snap off. It's clearly a timer. But in the dead of winter, with no one else around, something about that empty house calls to him. One day, he breaks in. The thrill is electric — and soon, he enlists Elise as a partner in crime. Their one simple transgression sends husband and wife spiraling into a deliriously wicked chain of bad decisions, infidelities, escalating violence, and shocking revelations about Elise's family that prove far more dangerous than anything next door.
